FAQ

Trial, billing, and cancellation

Plain-language answers. Legal terms still control—see Terms and the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

How does the free practice trial work?

You start a card-backed trial through Stripe Checkout. You get a limited practice-minute allowance for a short trial period (for example 7 days and a set number of practice minutes). There is no unlimited free monthly minute pool. Trial details are shown at checkout and in Settings → Billing.

When do I get charged?

Unless you cancel first, you are charged automatically when the trial ends and your plan converts to a paid monthly subscription (for example Starter). You will not need to press a separate “buy” button for that first paid charge if your trial converts automatically.

What if I use all my trial minutes before 7 days?

New practice sessions stop when trial minutes are gone (hard stop for practice). You can start your paid subscription straight away with a single continue action so you can keep practicing without waiting for the trial calendar to end. Confirming early paid access authorizes billing for that plan. Cancellation is available anytime from Settings → Billing (the same path explained when you start the trial)—not as a second button next to Start.

Do unused trial minutes carry over to my paid plan?

No. Trial minutes are only for the trial. When you convert (automatically at the end of 7 days, or early if you start the subscription after minutes run out), any leftover trial minutes expire. Your Starter or Pro plan then starts with that plan’s normal monthly allowance—not trial leftovers plus paid minutes.

How do I cancel so I am not charged?

Open Settings → Billing → Manage subscription. That opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can cancel. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first paid charge. After you are on a paid plan, cancel before the next renewal date to avoid future charges.

Will I keep access after I cancel?

During a trial, cancelling before the trial ends typically means you will not be charged and paid access will not start. On a paid plan, cancellation is usually at period end—you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Exact timing is shown in the Stripe portal.

Can I get a refund?

Paid periods are generally non-refundable once charged, except for billing errors, duplicate charges, material outages, legal requirements, or goodwill cases we approve. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Where do I update my card?

Settings → Billing → Manage subscription (Stripe Customer Portal). Call Whisperer does not store raw card numbers.
